Vitamin B 12 compositions comprise the vitamin or a pharmacologically equivalent derivative thereof homogeneously dispersed in a flexible gelatinous vehicle, e.g. of glycogelatine, which is in a shape suitable for insertion into the buccal sulcus. The numerous forms specified are those described in Specifications 1,083,896, 1,142,325, 1,145,734 and 1,154,317. They may be prepared by incorporating an aqueous solution of the vitamin into the dosage form and removing the water.
