Abstract

Continuous moulding scomprise an extruded profile covered or coated with a protective/decorative (metallic) surface baked with pressure sensitive adhesive. Pref. the adhesive is applied as a coating on both sides of a support of flexible plastic film, pref. elastically compressible foam (polyurethane). Pref. continuous strips of the (PVC) profile, the supported adhesive and a release paper are fed together between a pair of pressure rollers and reeled to make a stock roll of decorative trim for bodywork of motorcars, furniture etc.
