Abstract
Addn. to patent No. 1,600,979 (France) of 27.12.68, in which a heat-exchanger coil comprising two interleaved, spirally wound passages extend axially to form a cylindrical element. Two elements are joined in series so that flow through them in a centrifugal direction in one element is equalled by centripetal flow in the other element. Heat-exchange between two fluids at widely different temps. and pressures is highly efficient and produces minimal deflection problems. The exchanger is easily stripped down for cleaning.
