Abstract

The ratio of (i) NH3:O2 is 2-3, NH3:hydrocarbon is 10-20, and O2:hydrocarbon is 6-10. The reaction temp. pref. should not vary by more than +30 degrees C. from the mean temp. throughout the reactor. Suitable catalysts contain (a) 86.6% Al2O3, 1,25 V2O5, 12.5 Sb2O3; (b) 61 Al2O3, 15.5 SiO2, 23.5 V2O5; (c) 42.7 Al2O3, 15.1 V2O5, 42 CrO3; (d) 10.9 TiO2, 89.1 WO3; (e) 59.1 TiO2, 1.8 SiO2, 13.9 V2O5, 73 K2O; (f) 86.9 SiO2, 1.1 V2O5, 0.9 P2O5, 11.1 SnO2.
