Abstract

In a mould for ski shoes comprising two shells and a core suitably shaped plate extends obliquely between the core and the internal walls of the shells, the upper end being in contact with the core and the lower end with the shells, one of the ends being attached. In a single moulding process ski shoes are formed capable of back' ward and forward pivoting about a point at the level of the ankle joint. In an example, an elastomer or plastomer is moulded into a ski shoe using metal plates within the mould. Removal of the plates leaves a gap in the moulding which allows it to flex backwards and forwards.
