Abstract

Arc welding machine. Using a non-consumable welding electrode in a protective gas atmospheres, the machine first produces an auxiliary arc between the welding electrode and the workpiece. An electric current is passed through a heat-deformable element to move the welding and auxiliary electrodes apart to strike the auxiliary arc.
