Abstract
Raw gas pref. contg. condensable vapour is passed through a number of capillary tubes or tissue fibres to provoke turbulent mixing and efficient contact with an exchange surface cooled by refrigerant liquid. The exchange unit is pref. two rotating coaxial cylindrical channels with protruding sections where condensed liquid is extracted by centrifugation. The unit establishes high thermal extraction efficiency across the partition and the nature of the tissues (e.g. surface area and prosity) may be adjusted to meet the specific requirements of the application.
