Abstract

A packing scheme allows soft margarine to be transferred by a consumer to a plate by inverting the package. When decanted the margarine contains an embossed pattern on its upper surface. The package consists of a thin walled receptacle that acts as a female embossing die. However before filling the package it is lined with a thin thermoplastic film of Noll softness at least 225, preferably 0.0005 to 0.001 inches thick. When decaned the film adheres to the margarine from where it may be removed by a peeling action.
