Abstract

Characters or designs are first printed by any conventional technique onto a smooth surface of paper, card, etc., and then coated with a layer of adhesive (natural or synthetic auto-hardening resins) which can subsequently be transferred complete with print to a textured fibrous or fabric surface, the original (cellulosic) print substrate being washed off. For decorating various textured materials (for lampshades etc) with designs derived from simple printing equipment (for smooth surfaces).
