Abstract

Freshly-gathered fruits are gently crushed, the puree is filled in plastic bags which are sealed to hold the puree for freezing to be stored for an indefinite period, eventually to be thawed for recovery as a clear juice. During the freezing, storage and recovery operations, each filled, plastic bag is held in a cup, and a set of cups fits into a support frame to facilitate handling during freezing, storage, transport and recovery. The cups are perforated to strain the puree as its thaws and escapes from the plastic bag, which is broken at the recovery stage.
