Abstract

Textured yarn is produced by the false-twist method using pressurised air and the yarn being compressed on a carrier in a fixation zone, where it is heated. The yarn is subsequently withdrawn through an outlet and taken up by a winding mechanism. Pref., the yarn leaving the fixation zone is withdrawn over a tensioning element which affects the structure of the yarn by loosening the loop arrangement.
