Abstract

Composition is prepared by (1) forming a dispersion in a water-miscible solvent of one or more pigments and one or more vinyl chloride polymers, (2) mixing with water and (3) separating and drying the solid. The solvent does not dissolve the pigment or the polymer but preferably swells the polymer. The composition is especially suitable for pigmenting PVC and paints based on vinyl chloride. Greater colour intensities can be obtained.
