Abstract
The medium retains the desired viscosity over long periods in the presence of electron radiation and is resistant to the formation of substrates or products which lessen its usefulness for picture reproduction. The best material is a polymeric product of reaction of benzyl alcohol with aromatic hydrocarbons, using a polyphosphoric acid as the catalyst. The aromatic hydrocarbon be benzene, toluene, xylene, naphthalene, tetralin, dihydro-anthracene, phenanthrene, biphenyl, terphenyl, cyclohexyl-benzene toluene or diphenyl methane.
