Abstract

Radiation-sensitive body is within a radiation-permeable cap and is cylindrical. The envelope surface is at least partly active. The covering surfaces are electrode. Preferably, the body is pressed against the covering surfaces between lamellar contact springs. At least these surfaces have vapourisation-deposited metallic electrodes. The body is covered with a layer of paraffin (wax) or of wax, covered by a lacquer coat. Preparation is by coating cadmium sulphide with the liquid wax at >=100 degrees C.
