Abstract

Building sections for e.g. boats, prefabricated buildings, etc., are produced by applying to a skeleton (2) a cover (4) of a material comprising a water polymerised mixture of cement and polyester resin, also with a filler. The skeleton is of cellular shape, preferably an aluminium foil honeycomb structure. It may contain vermiculite or foam polystyrene or polyurethane as heat insulation, and may also be combined with a fibre- or grid-like material, the whole completely jacketted by the cover material, sometimes also with embedded reinforcing or mounting means (5). The cover material can be "Estercrete", a material havin a high specific strength, water impermeability and corrosion proof quality and able intimately to bond with the material of the skeleton.
