Abstract

An unstable working mixture of an electrolyte (e.g. 10% saline solution + nitrogen or air for processing steel) and gas is fed through the intermediary space where it forms media having different electrical conductivities. The media provide at least two different speeds of anodic dissolution. The tool may for example have a semicircular projection.
