Abstract
The access network (AN) is connected via a V5.2 interface to peripherals (LTG1-LTG4) with links (L10, I10, etc.) to switch matrices (SN0, SN1), feeding message distributors (MB0, MB1) with central controllers (CP0, CP1) duplicated for security. To accelerate the change of software, the V5.2 communication channels are first rerouted via the redundant half of the system while the new software is loaded into the other half. When this procedure is completed the channels are returned to the former routes so that the operation can be repeated for the redundant half. <IMAGE>
