Abstract

The shoulder block (5) also encloses the second barrel (2) and is drilled out (7) round the barrel with clearance. The shoulder block is fitted out with adjusting screws (8,9) which are spaced out at 60 to 120 deg. round the second barrel so as to lie radially to the barrel axis (A2) with their inner ends against the barrel (2) casing. The two barrels (1,2) can move freely in relation to one another in an area ahead of the shoulder block (5), and also freely in relation to their axes (A1,A2). The two screws are offset by 90 deg. round the barrel rim and are set at angle (MU)= 45 deg. in relation to a centre plane drawn through the two axes (A1,A2). The screws are in turn diametrically opposed counter-screws (10,11) and the shoulder itself is enclosed by a removable front shaft at its forward end, using a shoulder block groove to lock the shaft into position.
