Abstract

In a process for analysing a substance photometrically, luminous energy is conducted to a test chamber 3 and the luminous energy subsequently emanating from the test chamber is measured. Of the substance to be analysed, or of the product of a reaction dependent thereon, a precipitate is formed in the test chamber 3 by means of a suitable reagent and the intensity of the light diffused back from the precipitate is measured. The pick-up for the realization of the process comprises a test chamber 3, in which a reagent is placed, which forms a precipitate with the substance to be analysed, or with the product of a reaction dependent thereon, for conductance of the measurement by means of the light diffused back from the precipitate. To the test chamber is guided an optic fibre 1, along which the luminous energy is conducted to the test chamber and the diffused luminous energy is conducted for measurement. <IMAGE>
