Claims (8)
1. Förfarande för prioritering av trafik mellan via ett stamnät (12) sanunankopplade lokalnät (11), som kopp- 5 lats till stamnätet (12) via en överföringsförbindelse (14a...l4e), i vilket förfarande data förmedlas frän ett lokalnät till ett annat, varvid man i stamnätet (12) mäste buffra data vid övergäng tili en överföringsförbindelse (14a...l4e) med mindre överföringskapacitet, k ä n n e -10 tecknat därav att - längden pä en frän lokalnätet (11) mottagen ram (38) bestäms med förutbestämd exakthet, varvid erhälls ätminstone tvä längdklasser med respektive egen priori-tetskategori, 15. av ett adresspar, som utgörs av den mottagna ra- mens käll- och mäladresser, jämförs ätminstone den ena adressen med motsvarande adresser inom ramar som klassifi-cerats som längsammare än den prioritetskategori som mot-svarar längden av den ifrägavarande ramen, vilka ramar 20 för tillfället stär i förmedlingskö eller som i en förutbestämd tidigare tidsperiod (Tp) stätt i förmedlingskö, - ramar (39) som skall sändas vidare ställs pä ba sis av längdklassificeringen och adresskontrollen i ätminstone tvä olika förmedlingsköer (33a, 33b) med olika 25 prioritetskategorier, - ätminstone en del av ramarna som skall sändas ut-märks, sä att prioriterade ramar kan skiljas frän de övri-ga ramarna, och - märkningen kontrolleras i nämnda punkt (P) som 30 kräver buffring, och ramarna förmedlas vidare i enlighet med den av märkningen visade prioritetskategorin.
2. Förfarande enligt patentkrav 1, känne-tecknat därav att ifall en frän lokalnätet (11) mottagen ram har samma käll- och mäladresser som nämnda 35 som längsammare klassificerade ram, ställs den ifrägava- II 17 91695 rande ramen i samma förmedlingskö (33b) med nämnda som längsammare klassificerade ram.
3. Förfarande enligt patentkrav 1, känne-t e c k n a t därav att ramarna som skall förmedlas in- 5 delas i tvd olika prioritetskategorier.
4. Förfarande enligt patentkrav 1, känne-t e c k n a t därav att längden pä den förutbestämda ti-digare tidsperioden (Tp) motsvarar maximilängden pä den i nämnda buffringspunkt (P) använda bufferten (36b) för de 10 icke-prioriterade ramarna.
5. Förfarande enligt patentkrav 3, i vilket som stamnät används ett Frame Relay-nät, känneteck-n a t därav att som märkning används ett förutbestämt värde av C/R-biten i FR-ramen (39). 15
6. Förfarande enligt patentkrav 1, i vilket som stamnät används ett Frame Relay-nät, känneteck-n a t därav att som märkning används adressen (DLCI) för en logisk kanal i FR-ramen (39).
7. Användning av förfarandet enligt patentkrav 1 20 vid förmedling av talinformation.
8. Användning av förfarandet enligt patentkrav 1 vid förmedling av videoinformation.
