The invention relates to an apparatus for recycling steam in a sauna.

When taking a sauna, water is thrown onto the sauna heater and warm water vapor, ie the steam rises from the heater and spreads into the steam room. However, the steam does not initially spread evenly and linearly into the sauna space, but the steam air changes direction 10 when it hits the walls and ceiling and usually arrives from above the sauna. The problem is that the steam can come unevenly and at different temperatures to different places in the saunas sitting on the benches. In current saunas, steam cannot be distributed evenly and at the same temperature to all saunas. The object of the invention is to provide an apparatus for recycling steam in a sauna, by which the apparatus eliminates the disadvantages associated with current practices. In particular, it is an object of the invention to provide an apparatus by means of which the steam is evenly distributed to all bathers at the same temperature.

The object of the invention is achieved by an apparatus which is characterized by what is stated in the claims.

According to the invention, the apparatus comprises a collecting ice device placed on the stove, one or more pipes connected to the collecting device for conveying steam air from the stove to the benches and openings formed in the vicinity of the benches for conducting steam from the pipe to the benches. The steam coming from the heater is collected by a collector device, so that it cannot move freely in the sauna room. By means of a pipe or pipes, the steam air is led directly to the benches and distributed by means of openings. With such a solution, everyone on the benches gets equally warm or hot steam air. In addition, the temperature of the steam is equalized in the piping and it 10 constantly comes out of the openings, so that it does not cause a sudden thermal shock.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the pipe or pipes are led below the benches, whereby the steam air comes from below the saunas. The warm air tends upwards, so the warm steam air spreads quickly from the openings in the pipe or pipes to the saunas. In some applications, the tubes may be placed exclusively on the sides, behind or above the benches. In some applications, tubes or the like may be used that are in two or more directions relative to the benches.

In a further preferred embodiment of the invention, the apparatus comprises a suction device placed in the tube to provide a flow of air from the stove to the tubes. With such a device, the flow of steam air and its amount can be adjusted as desired.

The invention will now be explained in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawing, which shows an application of the apparatus according to the invention, partly in cross-section as seen from the side.

In this application, the suction device is located in the part of the pipe on the benches side, but the location of the suction device and their number may vary as appropriate. Inside the collecting device, a water dispensing device is placed above the stove 10 for dispensing water to the stove. The dosing device is connected to the water supply and can operate automatically or in a controlled manner, e.g. by pressing a button or the like.

The invention is not limited to the preferred embodiment shown, but may vary within the scope of the inventive idea formed by the claims. In some applications, the side of the collector device may be provided with an openable lid, so that the saunas can themselves throw water onto the heater and some of the steam 20 enters the steam room from this opening as well.
