Abstract

Method for controlling the movement of a moving device in an assembly machine for cable conductor bundles for joining together a clip 7 and a clip box 9, where a holder 5 in the moving device 4 is transported by means of the moving device up to a holder 8 in a substrate 2 and the holder of the moving device is moved towards the holder of the substrate for joining the parts together. To achieve a maximum operating speed of the moving device and to ensure an accurate joining-together movement, the moving device is locked 11, 12 relative to the substrate when the moving device has transported the clip to the clip box, and the positions of the clip and the locking device 11 are set before the locking to correspond to the position between the insertion position of the clip box and the locking device 12 of the substrate, so that the moving device is held by means of the locking when the clip is moved towards the clip box. In an arrangement developed for the application of the method, the moving device is provided with a locking device 11 in order to hold the moving device in a fixed position relative to the substrate and with setting devices for setting the position of the locking device and the holder of the moving device. <IMAGE>
