Abstract
1. Transformer, especially for a switching power supply. 2.1. In a transformer for a switching power supply, which operates at an elevated frequency of, for example, 32 kHz, the skin effect is noticeable in an interfering manner. In parallel circuits having a plurality of winding strands for reducing the skin effect, compensating currents occur. 2.2 The compensating currents are avoided by each winding strand being split into winding segments (1, 2) and these winding segments having radial distances from the core (K), which are differently offset in a manner such that they cross. 2.3 Especially a transformer for a switching power supply for a television set. <IMAGE>
