Abstract
The invention relates to a method for affinity purification of antigens and antibodies by means of monoclonal antibodies which have high affinity for the antigens in a first environment and low affinity in a second environment, where these environments are ones in which the immunochemical properties of the antigens and antibodies are not adversely affected. The invention also relates to a method for fractionation of antisera in order to obtain an antibody fraction which has similar antigen-binding properties to those exhibited by the monoclonal antibodies sensitive to the environment. The effect of varying pH on the binding capacity of two monoclonal antibodies in relation to a male growth hormone is shown in Fig. 1. <IMAGE>
