Abstract
An internal combustion engine (1), with a cylinder head (2), with at least one cylinder, wherein in the cylinder head (2) for each cylinder in each case at least one inlet-side gas exchange valve for charge air or for a charge air-fuel mixture, in each case at least one exhaust-side gas exchange valve for exhaust gas and in each case a pressure sensor for measuring a combustion chamber-side pressure within a combustion chamber (3) of the respective cylinder are received, wherein a recess (4) of the cylinder head (2) receiving the respective pressure sensor and a sensor housing or a sensor adapter of the pressure sensor received in the respective recess (4) are each conically contoured on sections facing one another and adjoining the combustion chamber (3) of the respective cylinder, and wherein a cone angle of the respective conically contoured section of the sensor housing or of the sensor adapter is greater than a cone angle of the conically contoured section (11) of the respective recess (4) of the cylinder head (2) receiving the pressure sensor facing the same.
