Abstract

Uppfinningen berör metod och apparatur för nedbrytning av biomassans naturliga struktur och/eller lösning av lignin och motsvarande ingredienser delvis eller helt väsentligt med hjäp av mjölksyra, en mjölksyraoligomer eller en vattenlösning av någon av dessa kontinuerligt så, att sagt lösning och/eller sönderdelning av den upplösta lignin och motsvarande ingredienser till fragmenter av även lägre molmassor än 1000 g/mol sker i en reaktor (4) försedd med temperaturreglering (5) och tryckreglering genom en matarpump (2) och en tryckreduceringventil (6) utnyttjande endast en förhöjd temperatur och ett förhöjt tryck. Mjölksyra och/eller mjölksyraoligomerer i produktström (9) kan circuleras till processen, och föreningar av lägre molmassor uppstådda genom sönderdelning kan utnyttjas som biobränslen eller som komponent eller utgångsämne av dessa, som matning till en fermentationsanläggning eller en annan bioraffinaderi, som komponent eller utgångsämne till kemiska produkter eller som komponent eller tillsatsämne till polymerer eller hartser.
