PARA IMPEDIR LA CORROSION EN LAS FISURAS DE TENSION DE LA LINEA DE RECIRCULACION DEL SISTEMA REACTOR, SE REDUCE EL CONTENIDO DE OXIGENO DISUELTO DEL AGUA REFRIGERANTE, DESVIANDO ESTA DEL CIRCUITO DE RECIRCULACION Y AGREGANDOLE HIDROGENO GASEOSOS, POR EJEMPLO MEDIANTE UN TUBO BURBUJEADOR. PARA PROVOCAR LA REACCION DEL HIDROGENO CON EL OXIGENO, SE PONE EN CONTACTO EL AGUA REFRIGERANTE DESVIADA CON UN CATALIZADOR EFECTIVO, TAL COMO CARBON ACTIVO O METALES NOBLES (PLATINO O PALADIO), DISPERSADOS SOBRE UN SOPORTE SOLIDO.
