CONSISTE EN: A) EMPAPAR LOS POROS DE LAS MASAS ACTIVAS DE LOS ELECTRODOS Y LOS POROS DE LOS SEPARADORES AGREGADOS A LOS ELECTRODOS, CON UN ELECTROLITO DE SO4H2 EXENTO DE GELIGENO, POSEYENDO UNA PARTE DEL ELECTRODO TOTAL UNA CONCENTRACION DE SO4H2 SUPERIOR A LA EXISTENTE EN EL ELECTROLITO TOTAL DESPUES DE EFECTUAR UNA COMPENSACION DE LA CONCENTRACION; Y B) RELLENAR LOS ESPACIOS QUE QUEDAN LIBRES ENTRE LOS ELECTRODOS, INCLUIDO EL ESPACIO RESIDUAL DEL ELECTROLITO, CON UN GEL TIXOTROPICO, POSEYENDO LA SEGUNDA PARTE DEL ELECTROLITO TOTAL UNA CONCENTRACION DE SO4H2 INFERIOR A LA QUE SE PRESENTA EN EL ELECTROLITO TOTAL DESPUES DE UNA COMPENSACION DE LA CONCENTRACION.
