CONSISTE EN FORMAR UNA SOLUCION DE COLOIDE DE LOS SOLIDOS EN UN LIQUIDO CON UNA TENSION SUPERFICIAL SUFICIENTEMENTE BAJA PARA MOJAR A UNA ALUMINA DE TRANSICION POROSA CON UNA POROSIDAD DEL 40%; PERMITIR QUE DICHA SOLUCION O COLOIDE ENTRE EN LOS POROS DE LA CITADA ALUMINA; EVAPORAR EL LIQUIDO MENCIONADO Y CALENTAR LA ALUMINA A SU TEMPERATURA DE TRANSFORMACION EN A-ALUMINA PARA SELLAR DICHOS POROS Y ATRAPAR EN ELLOS A LOS SOLIDOS MENCIONADOS; Y UNA ETAPA FINAL ADICIONAL EN LA QUE SE LAVA LA SUPERFICIE DE LA ALUMINA PARA ELIMINAR LOS SOLIDOS NO ATRAPADOS EN LOS POROS.
