ANODO Y CATODO SE ENCUENTRAN CONECTADOS EN EL INTERIOR DE LA PILA POR UN CABLE ELECTRICO. LA EXTRACCION DE CORRIENTE EXTERNA ES DETENIDA, ASI COMO EL SUMINISTRO DE OXIDANTE. LA CONEXION ELECTRICA ANODO-CATODO SE MANTIENE DENTRO DE LA PILA DESPUES DE ESTA DETENCION, DEJANDOSE CARGADAS LAS CAMARAS DEL ANODO. EL COMBUSTIBLE PUEDE SER HIDROGENO, UTILIZANDO OXIGENO COMO OXIDANTE.
