CONSISTE EN HACER REACCIONAR UN COMPUESTO DE FORMULA (II) EN EL QUE HAL SIGNIFICA UN ATOMO DE HALOGENO, CON COMPUESTOS DE FORMULA CX3CH2OH, EN PRESENCIA DE ACEPTORES DE ACIDO Y DISOLVENTES INERTES, PARA OBTENER DERIVADOS DE ALICILAMIDA DE FORMULA (I) DONDE X SIGNIFICA UN ATOMO DE HALOGENO. LA REACCION SE EFECTUA A TEMPERATURA ENTRE C20JC Y LA DEL PUNTO DE EBULLICION DE LA MEZCLA, A PRESION NORMAL, SIENDO POSIBLE TRABAJAR BAJO PRESION MAS ELEVADA Y MAS REDUCIDA, Y SE EMPLEAN COMO DISOLVENTES HIDROCARBUROS ALIFATICOS, ALICICLICOS Y AROMATICOS. SE UTILIZAN COMO FUNGICIDAS, ESPECIALMENTE CONTRA ENFERMEDADES DE LAS PARTES SUBTERRANEAS DE LAS PLANTAS.
