CONSISTE EN: A) HACER REACCIONAR 1-CLORO-2-METOXINAFTALENO CON UN COMPUESTO DE FORMULA (I) DONDE X Y X, IGUALES O DIFERENTES, SON CLORO O BROMO, SEGUN LA REACCION DE FRIEDEL-CRAFTS; B) CETALAR LA (S)-2-HALO-1-(5-CLORO-6+ -METOXI-2-NAFTIL)-PROPAN-1-ONA ASI OBTENIDA CON UN ALCOHOL ALIFATICO INFERIOR EN PRESENCIA DEL CORRESPONDIENTE ORTOFORMATO; C) REDISPONER EL COMPUESTO CETAL EN PRESENCIA DE UN DERIVADO INORGANICO DE ZINC PARA PROPORCIONAR UN (S)-2-(5-CLORO-6-METOXI-2+ -NAFTIL)-PROPIONATO DE ALQUILO; D) HIDROLIZAR EL COMPUESTO ESTER BAJO CONDICIONES ACIDAS PARA DAR EL ACIDO (S)-2-(5-CLORO-6-METOXI-2-NAFTIL)-PROPIONICO; Y E) SOMETER EL COMPUESTO ACIDO A HIDROGENOLISIS.
