2-(trialkylsilyl)-ergoline derivs. of formula (I) and their salts are new. - R = 1-4C alkyl; R6 = 1-3C alkyl; R8 = Me, NHCOEt2, NHCSEt2; 2 single C-C bonds or one signale C-C bond and one double C=C bond; and R8 can be either alpha or beta positioned if C-C to which it is attached is a single bond. - (I) have an effect on the CNS; esp. they are central antidopaminergics and alpha-2 receptor blockers. R8 can be alpha or beta; R = 1-4C alkyl; R6 = 1-3C alkyl; and R8 = methyl, NHCONEt2 or NHCSNEt2.
