Abstract

Rail vehicles with pneumatic suspension tend to experience rolling movements as a result of the flat spring characteristic curve. The said rolling movements have to be limited in the interests of safety. According to the invention, a spring element 11 is installed between the intermediate element 4 which can be designed as a composite rubber/metal spring 6 and the bellow plate 5. This spring element is effective when the rolling movement exceeds the value "a" and subsequently damps the further rolling movement in an elastic manner. In an extreme case, the rolling movement assumes the value consisting of the sum of "a" and "b". In this case, the rolling movement is restricted by the first spring plate 9 striking against the second spring plate 10.
