Abstract

Water-heating system which comprises a tank for containing primary water which is heated by a remote source. Inside the tank there is a heat exchanger via which is passed mains water which is to be heated in order to provide secondary hot water for use in the taps. The advantage of this arrangement consists in the fact that the mains water can be at high pressure and in the fact that only a small volume is heated each time. The temperature of the water supplied to the taps is regulated by branching off cold water from the mains supply and mixing it with the hot water emerging from the heat exchanger.
