MEJORAS INTRODUCIDAS EN EL METODO DE EFECTUAR UNA REACCION DE FERMENTACION.CONSISTE EN INOCULAR UN MEDIO ACUOSO DE CULTIVO QUE CONTIENE UNA FUENTE DE HIDRATOS DE CARBONO Y UNA FUENTE DE NITROGENO CON UN MICROORGANISMO PRODUCTOR DE UNA GOMA POLISACARIDA Y AGITAR MECANICAMENTE AIREANDO EL MEDIO PARA EFECTUAR SU FERMENTACION. EL MEDIO DE CULTIVO SE DISPERSA EN ALREDEDOR DEL 20 AL 80 DE SU PROPIO PESO EN UN ACEITE INSOLUBLE EN AGUA EN EL QUE EL POLISACARIDO RESULTANTE TAMBIEN ES INSOLUBLE. DICHO ACEITE INSOLUBLE ES UN HIDROCARBURO CON 8 O MAS ATOMOS DE CARBONO.
