A method of regulating plant growth, particularly of a cereal crop, comprises applying to the crop or crop locus where the regulation is desired from 0.025 to 3.5 kg/ha of a pyrimidinemethanol of formual I <CHEM contiene="yes"> wherein R is CF3, [CF2]2H or C2F5, or an acid addition salt thereof and from 0.1 to 3.5 kg/ha of CCC.
