Abstract

A protection circuit for a light-signalling system is described, especially for the turn indicator in a vehicle, having a first and a second group of lamps, an interruptor which is arranged in the supply circuit of the lamps and can be operated in an alternating manner by a clock transmitter, and a selector switch which is arranged between the interruptor and the lamps. The protection circuit includes a resistor which is connected in series with the lamps, and a blocking circuit having an energising input which is controlled via the said resistor and triggers to block the operation of the clock transmitter in the open position of the interruptor when a predetermined value of the current flowing through the resistor is exceeded.
