Abstract
During the inking of a flat screen stencil (4), the main doctor blade (1) or any doctor blade is to be followed, directly after scraping, by a subsequent doctor blade (3) which immediately covers the scraped screen of the screen stencil (4) again evenly with ink or the like. It is thus achieved that the screen stencil (4) is never scraped completely free in the individual operating strokes which could lead to the stencil image becoming blocked. It is achieved that the surface of the stencil cannot dry out. The subsequent doctor blade (3) can be raised in the vertical direction and the main doctor blade (1) can operate alone solely for a washing operation which may have become necessary to remove dirt or other contaminations from the screen. A special movement mechanism can also be provided for the subsequent doctor blade (3) in the horizontal direction. This subsequent doctor blade (3) can be integrated in the doctor blade arrangement 123 but it can also be moved separately. It is advantageous for it to interact with a preceding doctor blade.
