PROCEDIMIENTO PARA DISMINUIR EL CONTENIDO DE METALES PESADOS, ESPECIALMENTE DE COMPUESTOS DE CADMIO, EN EL FOSFATO BRUTO.SE MEZCLAN FOSFATO BRUTO, ACIDO NITRICO AL 30-70 Y UNA SOLUCION DE NITRATO CALCICO CON UNA CONCENTRACION DEL 10-50 EN PESO Y SE AJUSTA EL PH DE LA MEZCLA A 0,2-3 MEDIANTE UNA SOLUCION ACIDA, TAL COMO ACIDO NITRICO, FOSFORICO, CLORHIDRICO O SUS MEZCLAS, SIENDO LA PROPORCION DE FOSFATO BRUTO A LOS LIQUIDOS AÑADIDOS DE 0,3-3:1. SE SEPARA EL FOSFATO BRUTO, POR EJEMPLO MEDIANTE FILTRACION, Y POSTERIORMENTE SE EFECTUA UNA NEUTRALIZACION, POR EJEMPLOMEDIANTE HIDROXIDO SODICO, DE LA SOLUCION QUE CONTIENE LOS METALES PESADOS, O SE PRECIPITAN DICHOS METALES EN FORMA DE SULFUROS AÑADIENDO SULFURO DE HIDROGENO, PROCEDIDO GENERALMENTE DE UNA NEUTRALIZACION, O SE EXTRAEN LOS METALES PESADOS CON UN AGENTE DE EXTRACCION, TAL COMO UN ACIDO DITIOFOSFINICO. EN TODOS ESTOS CASOS EL NITRATO CALCICO SE RECONDUCE AL COMIENZO DEL PROCESO.
