COMPRENDE LAS SIGUIENTES OPERACIONES: PRIMERA, SE LIMPIA LA SUPERFICIE DEL ELECTRODO ELIMINANDO EL MATERIAL FLOJO Y LA MATERIA EXTRAÑA SIN REMOVER LAS PORCIONES ADHERIDAS DEL REVESTIMIENTO; SEGUNDA, SE ACTIVA LA SUPERFICIE LIMPIA DEL ELECTRODO MEDIANTE LA APLICACION DE UNA O VARIAS CAPAS DE UNA DISOLUCION DILUIDA QUE CONTIENE UN COMPUESTO DESDOBLABLE DE UN METAL DEL GRUPO DEL PLATINO, SEGUIDA DE CALENTAMIENTO PARA ENRIQUECER EL ANTIGUO REVESTIMIENTO CON OXIDO DE METAL DEL GRUPO DEL PLATINO; Y POR ULTIMO, SE APLICA A LA SUPERFICIE DEL ELECTRODO UN NUEVO REVESTIMIENTO EXTERNO ELECTROCATALITICO SIMILAR AL ANTIGUO REVESTIMIENTO.
