SE OBTIENE A PARTIR DE GAS DE HORNO DE COQUE, GAS NATURAL, GAS LIQUIDO, NAFTA O GAS SIMILAR, CON CONTENIDO DE CH , REFORMANDOLO CATALITICO-AUTOTERMICAMENTE EN UN GAS DE AMONIACO QUE CONTIENE O , CO Y H , A LO QUE SIGUE UNA CONVERSION EN CO Y H . EL HIDROGENO SE SEPARA DEL GAS CONVERTIDO EN AMONIACO, MEDIANTE UNA ADSORCION POR VARIACION DE PRESION DE VARIAS ETAPAS, MEZCLANDOSE A CONTINUACION CON EL NITROGENO GENERADO EN UNA INSTALACION DE DESCOMPOSICION DE AIRE. PARTE DEL NITROGENO PROCEDENTE DE LA MENCIONADA INSTALACION DE DESCOMPOSICION DE AIRE SE EMPLEA PARA EL LAVADO DE ABSORBEDORES DE LA INSTALACION DE ADSORCION POR CAMBIO DE PRESION. PARA LA REFORMA AUTOTERMICA SE EMPLEA EL OXIGENO OBTENIDO EN DICHA INSTALACION DE DESCOMPOSICION DE AIRE.
