LA REACCION SE LLEVA A CABO EN UN DISOLVENTE INERTE TAL COMO UN HIDROCARBURO, EN PRESENCIA DE UN COMPLEJO DE RODIO QUE CONTIENE UN COMPUESTO ORGANICO DE FOSFORO TRIVALENTE COMO LIGANDO, A UNA TEMPERATURA COMPRENDIDA ENTRE 50 C Y 180 C Y A UNA PRESION ENTRE 10 Y 300 BARES. ESTE COMPUESTO TIENE APLICACION PARA LA SINTESIS DE COMPUESTOS SUSTITUTIVOS DE LA METIONINA.
