CONSISTE EN EL TRATAMIENTO DEL MATERIAL FIBROSO CON UN BAÑO ACUOSO DE PH5 A 7,5 QUE CONTIENE UN ORGANO POLISILOXANO CON AL MENOS 2 GRUPOS HIDROXILO Y UNA EMULSION DE UN ESTER DE ACIDO POLISILICICO CON ALCOHOLES MONOVALENTES DE 1 A 4 ATOMOS DE CARBONO, EMULSIONADO CON UN EMULGENTE NO IONOGENO. EL BAÑO PUEDE CONTENER TAMBIEN UN PRODUCTO RESULTANTE DE LA REACCION DE UN COMPUESTO QUE TIENE AL MENOS UN GRUPO DE HALOGENHIDRINA Y/O DE APOXIDO Y UN COMPUESTO QUE TIENE ATOMOS DE HIDROGENO LIGADOS POR NITROGENO, PRODUCTO QUE EN FORMA DE SU SAL ES SOLUBLE O DISPERSABLE EN AGUA.
