Abstract

1. An electronic ignition control device for an internal combustion engine, particularly for motor vehicles, the device including a voltage value comparison element (30) an ignition coil (22) having a primary winding (24) connected in series to an electronic switch (25), a secondary winding (23) connected consecutively to the spark plugs selected by an ignition distributor (4), external resistor elements (8 to 15), (27 to 29) and capacitor elements (16 to 19) adapted to ensure the operation of a monolithic circuit (5) permitting a constant energy spark to be obtained at the electrodes of the spark plugs, the monolithic circuit (5) including an input (6) connected to a variable rate circuit for attenuation of the amplitude of the alternating signals from the induction winding (3) of a magnetic generator, characterised in that said attenuation circuit constituted by the external resistors (8 and 9) includes a capacitor (50) the impedance of which varies as a function of the speed of revolution of the internal combustion engine, such that at the tick over speed of the engine, passage of the current in the primary winding (24) of the ignition coil (22) is obtained for a predetermined time t1 without changing the starting speed of the internal combustion engine.
