CONSTA DE LAS SIGUIENTES ETAPAS: PRIMERA, FUSION Y VAPORIZACION DE UNA CAPA DEL MATERIAL A MECANIZAR; SEGUNDA, TRATAMIENTO REACTIVO DE LA SUPERFICE MEDIANTE UN AGENTE CORROSIVO CONSTITUIDO POR HNO3F HCL, H2O, CUSO4, FECL3, HASTA DISOLUCION DE LA CAPA REFUNDIDA. EN LA PRIMERA ETAPA SE EMPLEA ENERGIA DE HAZ DE ELECTRONES O LASER,O BIEN MEDIANTE DESCARGA ELECTRICA. EN LA SEGUNDA ETAPA EL CORROSIVO SE MANTIENE A UNA TEMPERATURA DE 40 A 80 C, DETECTANDOSE EL FINAL POR LA DISMINUCION DEL DESPRENDIMIENTO DE GASES.
