CONSISTE EN LA REACCION DE GLICINA CON UN DERIVADO ACTIVADO DEL ACIDO 2-(2-TENOIL)-TIOPROPIONICO DE FORMULA (II), EN LA QUE X ES UN GRUPO ACTIVANTE. LA REACCION SE LLEVA A CABO EN UN DISOLVENTE APROTICO O PROTICO, DEPENDIENDO DE LA REACTIVIDAD DEL GRUPO X, EN PRESENCIA DE UN AGENTE ACEPTOR DE ACIDO, A UNA TEMPERATURA ENTRE 3 Y 30 C. ESTE COMPUESTO TIENE APLICACIONES FARMACOLOGICAS POR SU ACTIVIDAD HEPATOPROTECTORA Y MUCLOLITICA.
