Abstract

Fibre rovings are impregnated with liquid at the moment when they are wound on a drum 5 after carding, division and rubbing. The drum 5 comprises apertures 6. A conduit 8 leads liquid axially into the drum and nebulizers 9 disperse the liquid on the inside thereof. The drum 5 is covered on the outside with a layer of absorbent material to distribute the liquid.
