Abstract

A photography apparatus for a colour television picture comprises a video tape recorder (10) storing the colour video signal, together with a frame specifying signal recorded on an audio track against the frame next to the frame image to be photographed the specifying signal being detected by a detecting head disposed before the audio head by a distance corresponding to one field in the direction of tape travel and causing the to be photographed frame image to be fed to a memory device (12) an NTSC decoder (34) for separating the signal stored in the memory into three primary color signals a monochrome monitor (58) for reproducing images corresponding to each of the three primary color signals produced by the NTSC decoder (34) in succession and a camera (66) with a vertically elongated aperture diaphragm (70) for photographing on color film, in superimposed fashion the three monitor images through color filters (76) passing only the respective primary color corresponding to each image. The diaphragm (70) sharpens the out-of focus camera photographs, only in line direction, whereby the line structure of the monitor images is blurred out.
