PROCEDIMIENTO PARA LA PRODUCCION DE UNA DISPERSION ESTABLEN EN UN MEDIO LIQUIDO NO ACUOSO DE MICROPARTICULAS COMPUESTAS DE UN POLIMERO RETICULADO. SE POLIMERIZAN UNO O MAS MONOMEROS ETILENICAMENTE INSATURADOS, INCLUYENDO AL MENOS UN MONOMERO RETICULADO, EN UN MEDIO ACUOSO A UNA TEMPERATURA DE POR LO MENOS 10C MAS ELEVADA QUE LA TEMPERATURA DE TRANSICION AL VIDRIO DEL POLIMERO, EN PRESENCIA DE UN MEDIO ACUOSO COMO ESTABILIZADOR ESTERICO DE UN COPOLIMERO QUE CONTIENE EN LA MOLECULA UN COMPONENTE POLIMERICO SOLVATABLE POR EL MEDIO ACUOSO Y OTRO COMPONENTE QUE NO ES SOLVATABLE. SE TRANSFIEREN LAS MICROPARTICULAS DE POLIMERO DE LA DISPERSION RESULTANTE HACIA UN MEDIO LIQUIDO NO ACUOSO, SIENDO ESTE MEDIO LIQUIDO CAPAZ DE DISOLVER EL POLIETILENGLICOL DEL UAL SE DERIVA EL COMPONENTE SOLVATABLE. ESTAS DISPERSIONES SE PUEDEN INCORPORAR DIRECTAMENTE A UNA COMPOSICION DE RECUBRIMIENTO YA QUE SEA PARA MODIFICAR LAS PROPIEDADES REOLOGICAS, OBIEN PARA MODIFICAR LAS PROPIEDADES FINALES DE LA PELICULA DE RECUBRIMIENTO.
